Road Win Lifts New York to 3-2 Lead in CS
Despite a great performance by Virginia first baseman Matt Olson, the New York Thunder Choppers defeated the Kings by the score of 7-3 at Kings Park today. Olson was 2 for 2 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice, but he could not prevent the Thunder Choppers from moving one game closer to the World Series. New York now leads the Championship Series 3-2.

It could have been a different outcome for New York, had it not been for Andrew McCutchen, the 2013 Most Valuable Player Award winner . McCutchen contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put New York up, 4-0.

"I just tried to make good contact," said McCutchen.

Game 6 is scheduled for Monday. The scheduled starters for the game are Zack Wheeler for Virginia and Trevor Bauer for New York.
