The Texas Jackalope had to overcome a good performance from Los Angeles pitcher Chris Paddack to claim a 3-2 win at Jackalope Stadium. Paddack went 7.1 innings and allowed 3 runs. The winning pitcher was Lance Lynn. His record is now 9-7. The right-hander went 5.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 10 hits for the Jackalope. Ryan Pressly earned his 6th save in 11 tries.

The Jackalope got a big at-bat from designated hitter Josh Donaldson. For the game, Donaldson was 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 21st home run of the season gave Texas a 3-1 lead.

"Enjoyed this one," Donaldson told the Texas Bulletin. "But it's back to work tomorrow."

Texas, at 69-81, occupies 8th place in the Division 1.
