Thunder Choppers Drop Another One, 7-3
|
A 4-RBI performance from designated hitter Carlos Correa, who won the Rookie of the Year Award in 2015, led the Virginia Kings to a win over the New York Thunder Choppers, 7-3. Archie Bradley, 4-6, earned the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. Virginia has now won 4 in a row.
With Virginia leading 3-2 in the top of the eighth, Correa hit a changeup from Andrew Heaney for a grand slam home run. It was his 15th home run of the season and put the Kings ahead, 7-2.
"I had some good swings out there," said Correa.
