The Maui Mavericks got an exceptional performance from starter Stephen Strasburg, who silenced the New York offense en route to a 3-0 shutout win in Game 2 of the World Series today. The Thunder Choppers could never get a bead on the right-handed Strasburg, who threw 8 innings of shutout ball. The Mavericks now hold a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-7 series.

Strasburg gave Maui a solid start. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits over 8 innings.

"I really like what we did out there today," Strasburg said after the game.

The next game is scheduled for Sunday, October 4th, 2020 at The Landing Pad. The scheduled starters for the game are Mike Soroka for Maui and Brandon Woodruff for New York.
