New York Breaks Through for First Win in World Series; Now Trails 3-1
|
The New York Thunder Choppers have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Maui Mavericks, winning 11-7 at The Landing Pad today. Thunder Choppers catcher Wilson Ramos went 3 for 3 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The win cuts the deficit facing the Thunder Choppers to 3-1 in the best-of-7 World Series.
New York grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and the bases loaded, Harrison Bader delivered a 2-run single, to make it 6-4 in favor of the Thunder Choppers.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Bader.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Landing Pad in New York. The scheduled starters for the game are Jack Flaherty for Maui and Chris Sale for New York.
