Late Rally by Demigods Secures Win
|
The Colorado Demigods weathered an outstanding game by Texas left fielder Giancarlo Stanton to topple the Jackalope, 4-3. Stanton was 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The Jackalope, 4-6, continue their poor start to the 2020 campaign.
Austin Meadows was a prime contributor to the Colorado win. He went 2 for 5 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 runs. In the top of the ninth with one out, the 24-year old right fielder hit a solo home run. It made the score 4-3, in favor of the Demigods.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Texas manager . "The effort was great."
