DTBL Names Newcomer of the Month Tuesday, September 1st, 2020 Yes, Brendan McKay is just a rookie. But he is a special rookie. Today the 24-year-old Washington starter was awarded the Dream Team Baseball League Rookie of the Month trophy for his standout performance in August. He dominated the rookie class, registering 3 wins and 1 loss in 4 starts with 32 strikeouts in 30.1 innings and a 2.37 ERA. Not bad for a first-year man. For the season McKay has logged 6 wins and 3 losses and struck out 140 batters in 112.1 innings while compiling a 2.72 ERA. |
