First-Year Fame: Washington Hurler Honored Thursday, October 1st, 2020 For a young man just making his way into the Dream Team Baseball League, Brendan McKay has shown incredible poise and confidence over the past month, netting him the coveted Rookie of the Month Award. In September he fashioned a 2-0 mark and a 2.42 ERA. The Washington starter struck out 29 in 26 innings as he walked 8 and held opposing batters to a .206 average. On the season McKay has compiled a 8-3 mark with a 2.67 ERA in 8 starts. In pitching 138.1 innings he has 169 strikeouts and 47 walks while limiting the opposition to a .195 batting average. |
