3 Home Runs for Story Monday, August 10th, 2020 It was a special day for Trevor Story, but less so for the Indiana Cougars. Story slammed three home runs against the Chicago Komodos, but the Komodos outhit him and got the win by a score of 6-5. "Lately, I been uppercutting the ball too much. I would hit it hard, but they just went sky high and stayed in the ballpark," he said to sportswriters after the game. "No big long outs for me in this game -- I leveled out my swing and connected on the sweet spot three times. I knew they were gone the minute I hit 'em." The Indiana shortstop finished the day at Cougar Coliseum with 3 hits in 5 at-bats, 4 RBI and 3 runs scored. Trevor Story struck out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Anibal Sanchez in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Anibal Sanchez in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Anibal Sanchez in the 8th and struck out in the 10th. So far this season Story is hitting .256 with 26 home runs, 66 RBIs and 67 runs scored. He has 124 hits in 484 at-bats and a .317 OBP. |
