Hit Parade: Rodriguez Pops 5 Hits
|
Cleveland (DSL) right fielder Skeiling Rodriguez could do no wrong in today's 14-2 win over the Mets 2 as he collected 5 hits.
"Things were in his favor in every one of his at-bats," Mets 2 skipper Yucary De La Cruz said to the press corps after the game. "He got hitters' counts."
Rodriguez agreed, saying that getting ahead early in the counts was "the key" to his game.
"Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit," he said. "You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready."
Skeiling Rodriguez grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
Thus far in 2020 Rodriguez is hitting .339 with no home runs, 24 RBIs, 35 runs scored and has compiled a .476 OBP.
