Grizzlies Pitching Ravaged by Dubon
|
At Chukchansi Park today, Mauricio Dubon of the Sacramento River Cats put on a hitting clinic. He banged out 5 hits in 8 at-bats and mauled the Fresno Grizzlies pitching staff, but Sacramento still came up short on the scoreboard.
The River Cats went home with the 4-3 loss, in spite of a standout 5-hit performance from their shortstop.
"Hey, it's great to get that many hits in a game, but it would have been nice to win the game, too," Dubon said in the postgame interview.
Mauricio Dubon hit a solo-shot off Ben Braymer in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, struck out in the 7th, singled in the 9th, struck out in the 10th, doubled in the 13th and flied out in the 15th.
To date, Dubon has collected 82 hits for a .265 average. He has posted 7 home runs, scored 39 runs and driven in 50 runs.
