Taylor Touches All the Bases, Hits for Cycle
Tuesday, July 7th, 2020
In an outing that will go down in the annals of baseball history, San Antonio left fielder Tyrone Taylor hit for the cycle today as the Missions marched to victory over the Nashville Sounds, 23-4.

Taylor collected 4 hits in 5 at-bats, including 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run. He added 9 RBI and 4 runs scored to help San Antonio take the Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium contest.

"It was the last thing on my mind, really," Taylor said. "I'm out there trying to get a blooper or a walk or whatever might help the team. Even if I had wanted to, hitting for the cycle is probably as much about luck as about skill anyway."

Tyrone Taylor flied out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, was hit by a pitch in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 5th, hit a three-run triple in the 6th and hit a three-run home run off Matt Tracy in the 7th.

Currently Taylor is batting .300 with 11 home runs, 37 RBIs and 57 runs scored.
