Healy 5-for-5 Against Round Rock Monday, May 18th, 2020 San Antonio first baseman Ryon Healy went down swinging at Dell Diamond today, knocking out 5 hits even as his Missions fell, 16-6. "It was like I was hitting Little League pitching," Healy said after his 5-for-5 performance against the Round Rock Express. "No offense meant to Round Rock, but it was like I was back in little league again -- I could see the ball that well." After the game, his manager elaborated on the first baseman's improvements, saying Healy spent the offseason trying to shorten his swing and stay inside the ball. "That's what I'm trying to do," Healy agreed. "Be quick to the ball and let it travel a little farther so I get a better look at it." Ryon Healy doubled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Brandon Bielak in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th. For the year Healy is batting .307 with 9 home runs. |
