Healy Packs a Wallop -- Hits 3 HR Against Aces
Saturday, June 13th, 2020
It's a rare event when a player hits three homers in a game and rarer still when he does it and loses.

It happened at Greater Nevada Field today, as Ryon Healy of the San Antonio Missions unloaded three times against the Reno Aces but was still bumped off 7-5 by the Aces.

"We were lucky to win today," said Reno skipper Chris Cron. "You can't give up that many home runs and expect to win on a regular basis."

For the game, the San Antonio first baseman had 3 hits in 3 at-bats, scored 3 times, and drove in 4.

Healy spoke to the writers in the postgame press room with mixed feelings, saying he was sad to lose but happy to be seeing the ball well.

"I was just trying to swing early and often to give myself a chance," he said. "I let the pitcher supply all the power and try to figure out how to get the bat on the ball."

Ryon Healy walked in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Taylor Clarke in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Joel Payamps in the 5th, walked in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off David Huff in the 9th.

This year Healy is batting .326 with 22 home runs. He has scored 51 runs and driven in 47.
