Season Done for Hjelle Saturday, June 20th, 2020 Sean Hjelle has to call it a season. The Sacramento River Cats starting pitcher learned today that the full extent his injury suffered on 06/19/2020 is worse than hoped. He will not play again this year according to club doctors, who diagnosed the injury as a torn ulnar collateral ligament and stated that he would not be able to play for 12-13 months. The team will likely place Hjelle on the injured list today. To this point in the season Hjelle has 3 wins and 10 losses and a 6.45 ERA. |
