Cooper Goes on Rampage Against River Cats
Monday, June 22nd, 2020
Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Wichita's 21-9 win over Sacramento today, first baseman Garrett Cooper was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Sutter Health Park.

"To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Cooper said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close."

Garrett Cooper struck out in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Trey McNutt in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit a two-run single in the 7th, flied out in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.

So far this year Cooper is hitting .342 with 11 home runs.
