Nashville Starter Named AC's #1 Pitcher Wednesday, July 1st, 2020 This month when the Nashville manager wrote the name "Whitley" on the lineup card, he was confident that he would get a good start out of him. Outing after outing in June Chase Whitley took command and usually got the win. He dominated with a 3-0 mark and 2.70 ERA in 5 starts, piling up 33.1 innings and 32 strikeouts and holding opposing teams to a .213 average. For his superb performance Whitley was named the American Conference Pitcher of the Month by the baseball writers. In 12 starts this year Whitley has crafted a 5-3 record and a 6.10 ERA. |
