Barons Shut Out by Muller, 4-0 Tuesday, June 2nd, 2020 All went well for Kyle Muller of the Mississippi Braves as he pitched his team to a 4-0 shutout victory over the Birmingham Barons, limiting them to 1 hit. In the postgame interview, both managers had glowing things to say about Muller on the day. "Kyle's got a good selection of pitches he can throw at a guy," said Braves manager Chris Maloney. "He changes speed, gives different looks to different hitters. When he's on his game, he's quite a handful." In the contest, the Mississippi left-hander rang up 10 and surrendered 2 walks. "He didn't give us any second chances," said Barons manager Justin Jirschele. "It's a guessing game with him and today we were always guessing wrong." Muller has a 5-1 season record so far. In 11 starts, he has fanned 66 batters in 65 innings with a 2.49 ERA. |
