Players Suspended in 66ers-Rawhide Donnybrook
Monday, July 13th, 2020
Yesterday at San Manuel Stadium Adrian Rondon and Luis Frias got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Inland Empire 66ers and Visalia Rawhide. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game.

Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Rondon will have to sit out 5 while Frias would be given a 6-game suspension for their roles in the brawl.

Rondon is hitting .262 for the season with 1 home run, 5 RBIs and 7 runs scored. He has 16 hits in 61 at-bats and played in 15 games.

Frias has gone 4-5 this season with an ERA of 6.78 and 64 strikeouts in 67.2 innings pitched. Other clubs are hitting .267 against him.
