Brown Cracks 5 Hits Sunday, June 7th, 2020 It was a sensational day at the plate for Garrett Brown as he led the charge to a 23-10 win over the Giants. The Lake Elsinore center fielder was pure misery for the San Jose pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 6 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Brown put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Dennis Pelfrey, manager for the Giants, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Garrett Brown flied out in the 3rd, hit an RBI triple in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit a two-run double in the 7th, singled in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off John Russell in the 8th. Posting a .316 batting average to date, Brown has 2 home runs and 13 RBIs. |
