Beltre Blisters Salem Sunday, June 14th, 2020 No matter what the Salem Red Sox threw at him today, Ramon Beltre hit it. He easily handled Red Sox pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Dash to a 13-0 triumph at BB&T Ballpark. "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Beltre's quip, Red Sox skipper Corey Wimberly said he "would take him up on that next time." Ramon Beltre singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th and hit an RBI single in the 7th. Presently Beltre is batting .306 with 64 hits and 7 home runs. He has knocked in 39 runs and scored 30 times. |
