CAR's Best Player Named Monday, June 15th, 2020 Samir Duenez burst onto the Carolina League stage in a big way last week. This promising rookie first baseman for Winston-Salem garnered everyone's respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy. The 24-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .333 (7-for-21) with 3 home runs and 9 RBIs last week. So far this year Duenez has 16 home runs and a .274 batting average. |
