Injury Sidelines Romero for Season Monday, June 22nd, 2020 Obviously disappointed, Orlando Romero confirmed today that his season is officially over. The Tampa reliever offered mostly monosyllabic responses to reporters. "Nope," he said, when asked if he might possibly return this year. The 23-year-old Romero suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament on 06/20/2020 and has been out of action since. This season Romero has claimed no saves and registered a 1-1 record with a 4.80 ERA. He has 22 relief appearances spanning 30 innings and has struck out 29. |
