Super Swinger -- Keirsey Slams 5 Hits Friday, April 24th, 2020 It was a magical day at the plate for Cedar Rapids Kernels center fielder DaShawn Keirsey. The 22-year-old Keirsey helped lift Cedar Rapids to a 11-5 win over the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers today at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium. Keirsey smacked 5 hits in 5 at-bats to spark his club to victory. DaShawn Keirsey hit a solo-shot off Caden Lemons in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. Currently Keirsey is batting .317 with 19 hits and 1 home run. He has knocked in 9 runs and scored 7 times. |
