Taylor Strokes 3 HR Against Clinton
Saturday, April 25th, 2020
Chandler Taylor went on an explosive hitting spree against the Clinton LumberKings at Modern Woodmen Park today, launching a trio of blasts to lead the Quad Cities River Bandits to the 14-1 win.
The right fielder finished 3-for-5 with 4 runs scored and 5 runs batted in.
"It was just one of those days," Taylor said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball."
Clinton skipper Tom Lawless said Taylor was "locked-in."
"We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him."
Chandler Taylor flied out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off George Soriano in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off George Soriano in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Jeff Lindgren in the 6th, walked in the 7th and struck out in the 8th.
This season Taylor is hitting at a .295 pace with 6 home runs, 20 RBIs and has scored 14 times.
