MID Selects Roberts June's Best Pitcher Wednesday, July 1st, 2020 This month when the Peoria manager wrote the name "Roberts" on the lineup card, he was confident that he would get a good start out of him. Outing after outing in June Griffin Roberts took command and usually got the win. He dominated with a 3-0 mark and 1.55 ERA in 5 starts, piling up 29 innings and 32 strikeouts and holding opposing teams to a .204 average. For his superb performance Roberts was named the Midwest League Pitcher of the Month by the baseball writers. In 5 starts this year Roberts has posted 3 wins while suffering no losses. He has pitched 29 innings, allowed 21 hits, struck out 32 and has a 1.55 ERA. |
