Fuller Swings for the Cycle Wednesday, July 8th, 2020 At Hunter Wright Stadium today, Terry Fuller led Johnson City to a 11-4 victory over the Kingsport Mets by hitting for the cycle, one of baseball's more difficult feats. "Usually the triple is the hardest one to get, but I was most worried about the homer today because the ball wasn't carrying," Fuller said later. "When I took it deep, I was expecting the ball to die on the warning track, so it was sweet seeing the ump give me the signal to circle the bases." In addition to going 4-for-5, Fuller chalked up 6 RBI and scored 3 runs in an exceptional performance. Terry Fuller singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Alvaro Figueroa in the 7th and hit a two-run triple in the 9th. So far this year Fuller has hit .412 with 4 home runs, 21 RBIs and 9 runs scored. |
