Aguiar Swats 3 Homers Monday, June 29th, 2020 It was a good day for the Elizabethton Twins and an exceptional one for Carlos Aguiar. The 18-year-old right fielder sent three bombs out of the park to help the Twins beat the Kingsport Mets 28-18 at Hunter Wright Stadium. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Aguiar said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day." For the day, he scored 4 times, drove in 8 runs and smacked 4 hits in 7 at-bats. Carlos Aguiar singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Nixon Silva in the 3rd, flied out in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Efren Ramos in the 7th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Alvaro Figueroa in the 8th and struck out in the 9th. Currently Aguiar is batting .333 with 3 home runs and 12 RBIs. |
