Willems Jacks 3 into the Stands Friday, July 10th, 2020 The "hardest feat in sports" debate is a never-ending one with no correct answer, but hitting three home runs is certainly in the conversation. That's exactly what Jonathan Willems did today at Ogren Park at Allegiance Field, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 7-1. "It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Willems said. "Good things happen, when that happens." The Billings Mustangs third baseman blistered the Missoula PaddleHeads for 4 hits, batted in 4 runs and scored 3 times. "It ain't like we weren't trying," Missoula manager Darrin Garner said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today." Jonathan Willems singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Michael Mediavilla in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Rafmar Medina in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Victor Simeon in the 9th. This year Willems is batting .378 with 4 home runs and 13 RBIs. |
