5-Hit Blitz by St. Louis (DSL)'s Rodriguez Sunday, July 5th, 2020 It was almost a perfect day for Jose Rodriguez. The St. Louis (DSL) left fielder displayed a hot bat today, enjoying an outstanding 5-hit day, but something was missing: The Cardinals Blue lost to the Los Angeles (DSL) Angels, 6-4. Rodriguez told BNN reporters after the game that luck was "fickle." St. Louis (DSL) manager Fray Peniche told the beat writers otherwise. "There was no luck today," he said. "He got 5 hits because he has a solid approach to hitting and he put it all together today, and we lost because the rest of us didn't put it together so well." Jose Rodriguez doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and doubled in the 9th. Thus far this year Rodriguez has hit .326 with 2 home runs and 6 RBIs. |
