Posted: Sun Mar 16, 2008 3:01 pmThere is good reason to be worried. I definitely need to know if anyone is going to be unavailable for any significant period of time. In fact, if you are going to be gone for a day or more, we may need to make alternate plans just so we don't have a repeat of last week.
There aren't really any contingency plans at the moment. Let's see how it goes this week. As far as I know, Jay is the only one with an availability issue and I've got Jeff set up to pick for him.
Finally, while I hope we can finish the draft by the 25th, it won't be the end of the world if we don't. I can rule that decisions regarding Boston and Oakland players and their major/minor league status must be made before setting the full Opening Day rosters later that week.
We'll wait and see if that is necessary though.
