Injury Brings Season to End for Scherff Wednesday, May 13th, 2020 "Not what I wanted to hear," said Portland's Alex Scherff to reporters this afternoon, as he revealed that the injury he sustained on 05/11/2020 would force him to miss the rest of the season. "The doctor made it clear," Scherff said. "There's no chance for me -- none at all -- to come back this year. That's the last thing I wanted to hear." Scherff has been out of action since he suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament. This season Scherff has fanned 31 in 36 innings and collected a 1-4 record with a 3.25 ERA. |
