Southern League Winner is Hinojosa Monday, May 11th, 2020 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Southern League, but last week C.J. Hinojosa of the Biloxi Shuckers reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Hinojosa rocked opposing pitching for a .571 average (12-for-21), 2 home runs and 5 RBIs to come away with the award. For the season Hinojosa is currently batting .325 with 3 home runs and 16 RBIs. In 28 games he has reached base at a .376 rate and scored 14 runs to date. |
