Rowdy Players Suspended by League Tuesday, June 16th, 2020 Baseball officials have suspended two players for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" in yesterday's Northwest Arkansas-Arkansas contest at Arvest Ballpark. The Naturals Kevin Merrell and the Travelers Ljay Newsome will have to sit out 2 and 6 games respectively for their parts in the brawl. Merrell is currently hitting at a .270 pace with no home runs and 17 RBIs. In 13 starts this season Newsome has recorded a 2-4 record and a 3.56 ERA. |
