Season Done for Montero Wednesday, July 1st, 2020 The Springfield Cardinals braced themselves for the news: they would be without third baseman Elehuris Montero for the duration of the season. Montero suffered a ruptured medial collateral ligament on 06/29/2020 and has not played since. The team's manager said he accepted the setback as a challenge. "We're still focused on one goal," he said. So far this year, Montero is batting .297 with 15 home runs and 53 RBIs. |
