Hillcats Hitless Against Lazar Monday, July 13th, 2020 It was the game that pitchers dream about: the no-hitter. It happened today at Calvin Falwell Field. Max Lazar of the Carolina Mudcats was right on target against the Lynchburg Hillcats in a 1-0 victory. Lazar zeroed in on them, holding them hitless with 5 strikeouts and 3 walks. "I just had it all today," Lazar told BNN reporters after the game. "Very good stuff and great location. That is a combination that's hard to beat." This season Lazar has worked 43 innings with 31 strikeouts en route to a 3-0 record and a 0.84 ERA. |
