Apostel Bangs Out 5 Base Hits Thursday, May 21st, 2020 Sherten Apostel did a number on the Red Sox in the Down East 7-4 victory today, and the number was 5. The Wood Ducks first baseman banged out 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Haley Toyota Field at Salem Memorial Ballpark to lead his club past the Salem Red Sox. "I felt good in the batter's box today," he said later. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done." Sherten Apostel hit a two-run home run off Jorge Rodriguez in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and doubled in the 9th. So far this year Apostel is hitting .291 with 12 home runs. |
