3 Roundtrippers for Neustrom Wednesday, June 10th, 2020 Frederick Keys right fielder Robert Neustrom sensed he was going to have a good day at the plate, but he still might have underestimated it a little. Prior to the start of today's contest with the Lynchburg Hillcats, Neustrom told teammates he was sure he would hit a home run. He did -- three times. "During batting practice I really had my swing down pat," he recalled. "I felt some thunder in the lumber." The big day from Neustrom pushed the Keys past the Hillcats, 11-2. To go along with the homers, he collected 6 RBIs and scored 3 runs. "I was seeing good, feeling good and swinging good," Neustrom told reporters after the game. Robert Neustrom struck out in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Jordan Jones in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Tanner Tully in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Nick Gallagher in the 9th. To date, Neustrom has collected 56 hits for a .303 average. He has posted 6 home runs, scored 25 runs and driven in 26 runs. |
