April's #1 Hurler Announced: Johnston Friday, May 1st, 2020 In April when the Lansing manager wrote the name "Johnston" on the lineup card, he knew he had a good shot at winning. Start after start in the month, Kyle Johnston took the hill, took charge and usually got the win. He dominated with a 3-0 mark and 1.08 ERA in 4 starts. The gifted Lugnuts star pitched 25 innings, fanned 18 and held opposing teams to a .244 average. For his outstanding mound performance Johnston was named the MID Pitcher of the Month by the baseball writers. |
