Hiraldo Wins MID Top Pitcher Award Monday, June 1st, 2020 There's something about a young rookie winning the Midwest League Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Carlos Hiraldo, a 23-year-old starter for the South Bend Cubs. In May, he topped off the month with a 5-0 mark and 0.30 ERA in 6 starts, tossed 30.1 innings, fanned 32 and held opposing teams to a .183 average. His record this year is 9-0 in 6 starts and Hiraldo has a 0.98 ERA. |
