Hit Streak Now at 20 for McConnell

The Lexington Legends stopped the Hickory Crawdads today 4-1 and Brady McConnell collected a base hit yet again. The Lexington shortstop finished with 1 hit to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20.
"I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited McConnell told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Brady McConnell grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, flied out in the 6th and hit a two-run single in the 8th.
This year McConnell has batted at a .297 pace with 105 hits, 5 home runs, 44 RBIs and scored 55 times.
