May's SAL Batter of Month Award Announced Monday, June 1st, 2020 When Connor Hoover stepped up to the plate in May he did it with confidence, and today he was honored with the South Atlantic League Batter of the Month award. The young West Virginia third baseman posted a .347 batting average with 3 home runs, 26 RBIs and scored 17 runs. Hoover also worked pitchers for 13 walks to post a .434 on-base percentage. This season Hoover is batting .273 with 5 home runs. He has scored 27 runs and driven in 38. |
