Injury Shuts Down Knight for Season Thursday, June 18th, 2020 Blaine Knight has to call it a season. The Delmarva Shorebirds starting pitcher learned today that the full extent his injury suffered on 06/15/2020 is worse than hoped. He will not play again this year according to club doctors, who diagnosed the injury as a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament and stated that he would not be able to play for 7 months. The team will likely place Knight on the injured list today. To date this season Knight is 2-8 with 13 starts and an ERA of 6.75 with 61 strikeouts in 58.2 innings. |
