NYP Star of the Week Chosen Monday, July 6th, 2020 So far in his young career, Gabriel Perez has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the New York-Penn League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 19-year-old Vermont Lake Monsters left fielder hit at a torrid .480 clip as he collected 12 hits in 25 at-bats, no home runs, 6 RBIs and 4 runs scored. This year Perez is batting .339 with 1 home run and 9 RBIs. |
