5-Hit Blitz by Pompey Friday, June 26th, 2020 5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Batavia's Tristan Pompey made it happen today against the Black Bears. Everything came together at the plate for the 23-year-old left fielder as he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats -- and led the Muckdogs to a 3-0 win at Monongalia County Ballpark. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Pompey said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." Tristan Pompey singled in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. This season Pompey is batting at a .351 clip with no home runs and 3 RBIs. |
