Collins Rips Kingsport for 5 Hits Thursday, June 25th, 2020 Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Burlington's 15-4 win over Kingsport today, first baseman Darryl Collins was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Hunter Wright Stadium. "To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Collins said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close." Darryl Collins hit an RBI double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, tripled in the 6th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 8th and walked in the 9th. |
