Taylor Goes Deep Twice, Helps Nationals Top Brewers, 6-1
|
The Milwaukee Brewers and Washington Nationals were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
The Washington Nationals trumped the Milwaukee Brewers, 6-1, at Miller Park. Washington center fielder Michael A. Taylor was terrific. He slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The loss drops the Brewers to 10-21.
Taylor had a timely hit for Washington in the top of the sixth. With Milwaukee leading 3-0, he turned a 1-0 fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 10th home run of the season, making it 6-0, Washington.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Taylor said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
