Rays Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Rangers
The Tampa Bay Rays picked up a win at Tropicana Field, knocking off the Texas Rangers, 8-0. On the mound for Tampa Bay was left-hander Brendan McKay, who played a pivotal role in the win. In 7 innings, McKay surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 2. He allowed no runs. With the win, Tampa Bay pushed its record to 20-20.

Tampa Bay shortstop Willy Adames contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball into left field for a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Rays ahead, 4-0.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," McKay told the Tampa Bay Daily.
