The Houston Astros beat the Toronto Blue Jays, 8-7, at Rogers Centre. Michael Brantley, in particular, was impressive. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 runs. Reliever Joe Biagini picked up the win. His record improves to 2-1. Carlos Alejandro Ramirez took the loss. Ryan Pressly recorded the save for Houston, his 8th of the season.

Houston used the timely hitting of Jose Altuve to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Astros on top, 8-7. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We got the victory," said Brantley. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."

The American League West Division-leading Astros have a record of 31-18.
