The Houston Astros topped the Boston Red Sox, 3-0, in American League action at Fenway Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Houston pitcher Lance McCullers Jr.. Ryan Pressly earned save number 11 this season. The triumph puts Houston at 35-18 for the season.

It could have been a different outcome for Houston, had it not been for Carlos Correa, the 2015 Rookie of the Year Award winner . Correa contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put Houston up, 2-0.
